Wine Classic 2011

About one month ago, Koolfire Catering was one of the 16 caterers that participated in the Museum of the Rockies Tenth annual wine classic - a fundraiser for the museum. The event was fantastic!  The event raised an exorbitant amount of money for the museum, the guests had a blast, the staff had a great time, the wine was delicious, and Koolfire received many rave reviews. Part of the event was a competition between the caterers for the best catering/decor. With the amazing floral design work of Allison Webb, from Allison Brooke Design, Koolfire Catering won the competition!

Marriott Business After Hours Event

Last nights "Business After Hours" event for the Bozeman Chamber of Commerce was fantastic! The turnout was great, the event ran soooo smoothly (thanks to my wonderful staff!), and working with the Residence Inn by Marriott in Bozeman was awesome.  Here is a copy of the  hors d'oeuvre menu:...

The name "Koolfire"

Many people have asked where the name Koolfire Catering came from...well, the name stems from my greatest companion & love of my life, my ridgeback lab; Kooland. Is there anyone out there who is not familiar with the festive song " Celebrate" by Kool and the Gang? It is upbeat, catchy, puts a smile on your face, and makes you want to dance like a jerk. I love it! And it reminds me of a great friend who passed away just seven years ago. Cheers, Mike! Anyways, my puppy was born with "celebrate" as a theme song and Kooland for a name. Representing the good times!! So when it came time to name my catering company, I wanted to incorporate my love for my dog and celebrating great times. I was asking everyone for suggestions...finally I asked the right friend, the first idea out of his mouth "Koolfire"...and the rest is history. Thank you Tom!
